The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil informs that registration for the lecture “The Birth of the Great King Sejong” will open on May 8th at 2:00 PM (Brazilian Time). The event will take place on May 15th at 6:30 PM, at the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil.

Lecture Content
This lecture will be held in celebration of the birthday of King Sejong the Great, sovereign of the Joseon Dynasty and creator of the Korean alphabet, Hangeul.
The lecture will explore the life of King Sejong, as well as the historical, political, and cultural context of Korea during the early Joseon period. It will delve into the reasons behind the creation of Hangeul, the linguistic challenges faced by the Korean people at the time, and the philosophy and values that King Sejong sought to promote through the creation of the Hunminjeongeum.

The registration form will be available starting May 8 at 2:00 PM and will close on May 12 at 1:00 PM (Brasília time).
After submitting the form, applicants will receive a copy of their response via email.
Please note that this does not confirm participation in the lecture.
Selected participants will receive a confirmation directly from the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil via email on May 13.
