Events at KCCs abroad


At the 2025 K‑Pop Festival in Abuja, organized by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN), the Xtreme Movement Crew, a trio of Nigerian dancers, stole the show. Performing to Ateez’s “Ice On My Teeth,” they captured both the ₦800,000 grand dance prize and the ₦200,000 audience popularity award, earning the right to represent Africa at the global finals in South Korea

A total of 18 finalists (10 singing teams, 8 dance teams) competed. In the dance category, Xtreme Dance Crew took second place (₦600,000) and Zoned‑IN DC finished third (₦400,000). In the singing category, MacWhitney Myles‑Iranyohe claimed the top prize (₦500,000), followed by Goodness Ohwodiasa (₦300,000) and Onuh Blessing (₦200,000)

Leader Damina Luka explained that the crew trained for five months, merging Ateez’s choreography with unique Nigerian flair . KCCN Director Jeon Juho hailed the festival as a powerful platform for cultural exchange and praised Nigeria’s talent, expressing strong confidence in their potential performance at Korea’s finals

This event vividly illustrates the growing cultural synergy between South Korea and Nigeria, showcasing Nigeria’s rising presence in global K‑Pop culture.
