<2025 Music Garden Festival: Cheonhajeil Tal Workshop Performance Series>
The Korean Cultural Center in Poland, in collaboration with the Warsaw Music Garden Festival, presents a performance series by The Greatest Masque, a creative performing arts group based on traditional Korean mask dance, Talchum. The performances will take place on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025, on a temporary stage in the courtyard of the Royal Castle Museum, located at Castle Square in Warsaw’s Old Town. The program will feature a traditional music performance and a modern talchum interpretation of Shakespeare’s tragedy Othello, titled Othello and Iago.
'The Greatest Masque' is a collective of young artists dedicated to creating performances that engage contemporary audiences while rooted in the principles and spirit of traditional Talchum. This unique program combines a reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s Othello through the Korean mask dance tradition with a performance of traditional Korean music by the ensemble Namu, offering the audience an extraordinary cultural experience.
