Events at KCCs abroad

Pôster Oficial da Exposição

From July 5 to August 1, 2025, the exhibition “K-Food Universe Brazil” (Universe K-Food Brasil), currently being held at the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil, has been attracting great interest from the Brazilian public. This exhibition is jointly organized by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), under the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil, with the aim of increasing understanding and accessibility to Korean food in Brazil.

The event takes place at the Korean Cultural Center, located on Avenida Paulista, the cultural and commercial hub of São Paulo, and admission is free. Visitors are welcome from Tuesday to Sunday. The exhibition is divided into five zones, offering visitors a variety of ways to experience Korean food culture.

First, the “Convenience Store Zone” recreates a Korean convenience store, where visitors can purchase various products such as ramen, beverages, snacks, soju, and gochujang.

The “Tasting Zone” allows visitors to try Korean foods that have not yet been officially launched in Brazil. Guests are able to experience the diverse flavors of modern K-food, and some have expressed their hopes that these products will soon become available in Brazil.

Interactive programs have also been a major attraction. In the “Game Zone,” visitors can take part in the “Chopsticks Challenge”—picking up beans with chopsticks—and play the “Find Your K-Food Taste” game, which analyzes personal food preferences through a simple quiz. One visitor shared their excitement:
“There were so many options that I couldn’t decide, but thanks to the quiz, I got personalized recommendations and was able to taste and buy them on the spot, it was amazing!”

In addition to experiencing Korean convenience store culture and food, the “Photo Booth” area offers visitors the chance to enjoy Korea’s trending self-photo culture, which has been especially popular among younger generations. The “Traditional Fermented Sauces Zone” allows visitors to taste gochujang, doenjang, ssamjang, and other Korean fermented pastes, while learning about their uses and flavors.

Visitors have praised the exhibition, saying:
“It’s incredible to have an opportunity like this in the heart of Brazil, where we can see, taste, and even buy so many different Korean foods. We hope events like this happen more often!”

The exhibition provides detailed information through its official Instagram accounts, @universokfoodbrasil and @kccbrazil, where many Brazilian locals and K-culture fans are actively sharing photos and reviews of their experiences.
