The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil announces the 2nd edition of K-Debate, part of the program of the 18th Korean Culture Festival, taking place on August 16 and 17, 2025, at Oswald de Andrade Cultural Center, in the Bom Retiro neighborhood.
This edition will bring together 14 speakers for lectures and debates covering different aspects of Korean culture, such as art, history, and literature.
On August 16 (Saturday), we will host the roundtable “Oral History and Memory of Korean Immigrant Women” and the lecture “Translating Korean Literature into Portuguese in Brazil.” On August 17 (Sunday), the program will feature the roundtable “Biracial Artists: Why Is My Art Both Korean and Brazilian?” and the lecture “Korean History: From Joseon to K-Dramas.”
The Korean Culture Festival (Learn more about the event by clicking here) is organized by the Brazilian Korean Association (ABC) and jointly organized with +SG. The event is supported by the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (CCCB), the Bom Retiro Development Committee (Bom Retiro Fair), KOWIN (Korean Women’s International Network), and the City of São Paulo, which is also a sponsor.
