Workshops on dyeing processes of Hanji by Prof. Seung-Chul Lee
From July 21st to 29th, the Korean Cultural Center in Italy had the pleasure of hosting Professor Seung-Chul Lee, a painting professor at Dongduk Women’s University and an expert in Hanji paper dyeing.
During his stay, Professor Lee led a series of workshops focused on the dyeing processes of Hanji — one of the most suitable papers for the restoration of archival materials and artworks — aimed at Italian local restorers and art students.
The workshops were held at prestigious Italian institutions, including the Vatican Museums, the Fedrigoni Foundation in Fabriano, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
We extend our sincere thanks to these institutions for their valuable collaboration.
