Events at KCCs abroad

To promote Korean culinary culture in Nigeria, the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) trained 16 Nigerians in making Hotteok, a traditional Korean sweet pancake. The July 2025 Hansik cooking class introduced participants to Korean snack culture by teaching them how to prepare Hotteok using both local ingredients and Korean pre-mix flour.

The pastry, filled with cinnamon, brown sugar, and nuts, was served with vanilla ice cream. Participants found it easy and enjoyable to make. KCCN emphasized that the program helps deepen cultural ties between Korea and Nigeria and announced plans for more cultural classes.
