Events at KCCs abroad

At the opening of the 13th Korean Film Festival in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary of Nigeria’s Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Mukhtar Yawale Muhammad, emphasized the event’s role in strengthening cultural ties between Nigeria and Korea. He commended the Korean Cultural Centre and Ambassador for promoting cross-cultural understanding, urging Nigerian artists and filmmakers to draw inspiration from Korea’s history and values. The Chairman of the Nigerian Film Festival Association, Uche Agbo, praised KCCN for bringing Korean culture closer to Nigerians and encouraged more such collaborations. KCCN Director Jeon Ju Ho highlighted the festival’s purpose as building bridges between Nigerian and Korean communities, noting ongoing collaboration with the Nigerian Film Festival Association. The festival, held August 21–23, 2025, featured Korean films that showcased Korea’s society, culture, and values.
