Hangeul Day
Hangeul Day (한글날) is celebrated every year on 9 October in Korea to mark the creation of Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, by King Sejong the Great in 1443. It honours the scientific design, cultural importance, and accessibility of this writing system, which continues to be a source of pride for Koreans today.
