On Saturday, September 20, 2025, a Hanbok fashion show and Bojagi exhibition were successfully held in Ankara as part of Turkiye’s largest cultural event, the “Cultural Street Festival.” Co-hosted by the Korean Cultural Center and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the event showcased the richness of Korean tradition and contemporary culture. It served as a meaningful opportunity to deepen cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries.

At the Hanbok fashion show, designer Yoo Si-eun presented over 30 outfits. Ranging from traditional Hanbok styles of the Goguryeo and Joseon dynasties to modern reinterpretations, the collection offered a wide spectrum of designs. Local Turkish models, many of whom are fans of Korean culture, took to the runway, showcasing how traditional Korean attire can find new life and resonance on the global stage.
The modern reinterpretations of traditional Hanbok showcased at the fashion show received an enthusiastic response from the audience for their elegant designs and comfortable wearability. Some attendees even expressed interest in purchasing the outfits, highlighting the high level of attention they garnered. Korean Ambassador Jeong Yeon-doo also contributed to promoting Hanbok by wearing one himself at the event. Before the show began, there was a lively atmosphere as many attendees requested to take photos with local models dressed in Hanbok, further adding to the excitement on site.
