On September 26 and 27, the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil, in partnership with Viki, will host special screenings of the K-drama The Red Sleeve, a historical romance set in the Joseon dynasty, in celebration of K-Drama Day 2025.

The event will take place on the first floor of the Korean Cultural Center. After the screening of the opening episodes, there will be a talk with Professor Mariana Pacheco about the series and its historical background.

The audience will have the chance to experience not only the unique charm of K-dramas but also the depth of history and storytelling that defines the show.

The screenings aim to immerse viewers in the world of K-dramas and Korean history, exploring the emotions and storylines that characterize the genre. At the end of the event, the 70 attendees will also receive a special Viki coupon (limited to one per person).

Set in the early 1700s, the story follows Yi San (Lee Junho), who must succeed his grandfather, a ruthless king responsible for his father’s death. Unlike his predecessor, Yi San is determined to be a benevolent ruler, though he is deeply scarred by his father’s fate. He falls in love with Sung Deok Im (Lee Se Young), a bright, free-spirited young woman. Afraid of losing her independence by becoming the prince’s consort, Deok Im hesitates. Still, as their feelings grow, she begins to see the meaning and rewards of their union.
