Australian-founded Korean beauty retailer W Cosmetics is set to open its first Northern Territory store this month at Casuarina Square in Darwin. Known as “Beauty Wonderland,” the brand continues to expand nationwide as demand for Korean skincare and cosmetics grows among Australian consumers.
Launched in 2013 by Chinese-born entrepreneur Li Yang, W Cosmetics now operates more than 40 stores across Australia, offering a wide range of popular Korean skincare and makeup products. The new Darwin location, marks a significant milestone in the company’s national growth.
Casuarina Square manager Elysia Billingham described W Cosmetics’ arrival as one of the shopping centre’s most anticipated openings, noting that “Australians are spending more every year on Korean skincare than they do on chocolate.” The store’s opening reflects the continued popularity of K-beauty and its influence on Australia’s retail and beauty landscape.
