The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Director HaeDon Lee), in collaboration with the Seoul Arts Center (SAC), presented the “80th Anniversary of Liberation Commemorative Performing Arts Film Screening – SAC Series” at Ari Hall from September 24 to November 21. Part of SAC on Screen, the series brings Korea’s outstanding performing arts to audiences on a large screen, using multiple cameras and dynamic visuals to capture the energy and immediacy of live performances. Screenings include ballet, opera, and classical music, with expert commentary provided before select programs to enhance appreciation. Highlights include the original Korean ballet Ahn Jung-geun, Dance in Heaven, the comedic opera Chunhyang's Great Escape, the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra Masters Series featuring pianist Sunwook Kim, and the classic ballet Nutcracker performed by the Korean National Ballet.

Each screening received enthusiastic responses from the audience, and by offering expert commentary before the screenings, the program engaged viewers in a new and enriching way.
