On 27th of November, 90 students from the Business Management Program at Sripatum University International College visited KCC Thailand to experience various aspects of Korean culture.
On that day, the Center invited Mr. Kim Nam-hyuk, Consul General of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand, to deliver a special lecture on political, diplomatic, and economic cooperation between Korea and Thailand. Consul General Kim highlighted the long-standing diplomatic history between the two nations and explained the current areas of cooperation, including politics, economics, military affairs, and cultural exchange.
He also shared Korea’s experience as a member of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation, an aspect that Thailand, which is preparing to join the OECD, should take into consideration when shaping future policies.
In addition, the students enjoyed traditional Korean performances by the Youn Dance Company and the percussion group ‘Mua’, featuring pieces such as Gilnori, the Jindo Drum Dance, and the Bukcheong Lion Dance.
They also had the opportunity to participate in various Korean craft workshops, including traditional lantern-making, Korean knot bracelet-making, Hangeul calligraphy, and creating seashell keychains.
We sincerely hope that this field trip to experience Korean culture will become a meaningful memory and a valuable part of the students’ learning journey.
