Talk show with webtoon artist Jimmy Kay (김지민)

On December 4th, 2025, the event “A Window into the Art of Korean Webtoon” took place at Sapienza University of Rome with the support of the National Library of Korea.

The event opened a true window onto the world of Korean webtoons, exploring what happens behind the scenes: the editorial process, the challenges of adapting webtoons to print, localization for the Italian audience, and the evolution of the genre’s visual language. We also delved into the creative journey of webtoon artists through an interview with the webtoon artist Jimmy Kay(김지민), gaining firsthand insights into ideas, page construction, character relationships, and the daily challenges and joys of production.
