K-pop supergroup BTS has announced its return to Australia for the first time in eight years, confirming Melbourne and Sydney dates as part of a massive 79-show world tour. The tour marks the group’s official comeback after a near four-year hiatus while all seven members completed mandatory military service in South Korea. Australian performances are scheduled for February 2027, with two shows each in Melbourne and Sydney.

The global tour, described by promoter Live Nation as the largest of BTS’s career, will span 34 regions across North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Australia, running until 2027. BTS last toured Australia in 2017 and last headlined concerts in 2021–22. The group is also set to release a new album on March 20, following the global success of Proof (2022), which topped charts in 18 countries and recorded billions of streams worldwide.
