Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center in the UAE will host a special Ramadan cultural program,
Ramadan Special Screening 'Fly me to the Moon” offering women and children an opportunity to experience Korean animation
and traditional culture in a warm and welcoming setting during the holy month of Ramadan.

Designed in the spirit of reflection and togetherness that characterizes Ramadan,
the program aims to create a meaningful cultural experience through storytelling, hands-on activities, and shared moments of community.
The event centers on a screening of the Korean animated film Lost in the Moonlight (2016),
a fantasy adventure that follows a young girl who unexpectedly enters a magical world hidden within Changdeok Palace and embarks on a journey to save the Moonlit Palace while finding her way home.

In addition to the animation screening, participants will be able to freely take part in traditional Korean craft workshops inspired by heritage designs, including suncatcher and keyring-making activities, as well as interactive games suitable for families and young audiences.

Light Ramadan refreshments and beverages will also be provided, encouraging guests to share a moment of rest and reflection together.

The program will be conducted as a private event with limited participation to ensure a comfortable and family-friendly environment.

Exclusively organized for women and children, the event reflects the Korean Cultural Center’s continued efforts to promote cultural exchange while respecting local customs and creating inclusive spaces for community engagement.
