The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden is officially operating the "Language-Culture Integrated Korean Curriculum" for the Spring 2026 semester, reflecting the demands and characteristics of local Korean language learners in Sweden.

This semester has strengthened the "experience-based educational model" by moving away from traditional grammar-centered teaching methods and instead combining Korean culture and the latest trends with language learning.
The most eye-catching program is "Learning Korean Through Cooking," which is being piloted starting this semester. The first class was held under the theme of Tteokguk, Korea's representative Lunar New Year food. Participants also made the "Dubai Chewy Cookie (Dujjonku)," which is currently popular among young people in Korea, while learning related vocabulary and grammar.
Learners mastered ingredient names, cooking verbs such as sseolda (to slice), bokda (to stir-fry), and pulda (to whisk/dissolve), as well as various adjectives for taste through the actual cooking process.
Note: "Dubai Chewy Cookie" (Dujjonku) refers to a trendy dessert popular among young Koreans, combining the flavors of the viral Dubai chocolate with a chewy texture.
