On March 5 and 8, the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (CCCB) held a minhwa workshop, introducing participants to this traditional Korean art form. The sessions were led by Song Chang-soo and Kim Min, professors at Dongduk Women’s University.

The workshops took place at ESPM and USP following the seminar “Discovering Minhwa – What is Minhwa?”, presented by Prof. Dr. Yoo Jung-Seo, editor and publisher of Monthly Minhwa magazine.

The audience that gathered had the opportunity to learn about the historical and social context that gave rise to this art form, as well as the roles it played in everyday life. During the workshop, participants also created a fan decorated with traditional painting, allowing them to take home a piece of traditional Korean art.
