The Korean Cultural Centre in Canada successfully hosted in-person screenings of <Nakdong River> (1952) on March 19–20, 2026. The film, a classic digitally restored by the Korean Film Archive (KOFA), was presented in collaboration with the International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO).

On March 19, Aaron Nam, Colourist at KOFA’s Digital Restoration Team, represented Korea in this year’s SAVE AS 2026 program, delivering a presentation on Korean film restoration and archival practices.

The event showcased Korea’s leadership in film preservation and restoratio, and audiences were offered a rare glimpse into this historically significant film and participate in a Q&A session.
