
On March 30, the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce jointly organized the event ‘안녕 Korea 2026,’ with more than 300 students from the Korean major, Faculty of Humanities, at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in attendance.

Ms. Sunju Lee, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, delivered the opening remarks and expressed her appreciation for the students’ strong interest in and enthusiasm for Korea. She noted that this growing passion has contributed to the continuous rise in the popularity of Korean culture. She also encouraged students who are diligently studying the Korean language to grow into key contributors in strengthening and advancing the positive cooperation between Korea and Thailand in the future.

In addition, Director Sunju Lee extended her gratitude to the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce for organizing a wide range of Korean cultural activities for students to enjoy, including singing contests, Korean drama dubbing competitions, and cover dance performances.

During the opening ceremony, the KCC presented traditional music performances featuring the gayageum and haegeum, allowing participants to experience the charm of Korean folk music. Everyone had the opportunity to try on a hanbok and Korean school uniform, as well as enjoy traditional games.
