Partage Shopping in Marabá hosted the 1st K-Asian Fair on the 18th, in partnership with the producer Vida Vênus. The event established a space dedicated to Korean and Asian pop culture in the region. According to organizer Amanda Garuda, the initiative coincides with the return of the group BTS to the stage, whose concerts are being shown at the local movie theater.

The fair was organized in collaboration with communities from the Hallyu movement to give visibility to local groups. Amanda Garuda stated that the goal is to transform the venue into a meeting place and hub for cultural exchange. The program included booths featuring original products, imported items, Korean cuisine, and dance group performances.

The event featured interactive activities, such as karaoke sessions and cosplay parades inspired by anime and K-dramas. Participants like Antônio Ricardo Amorim and Rebeca Acácia highlighted that the gathering fosters a sense of belonging and allows for the sharing of common interests. According to attendees, the space is essential for bringing together people who appreciate Eastern culture.

The movement’s impact is also reflected in the local economy, as exemplified by shop owner Eliezer de Oliveira Costa. The businessman stated that he shifted his business’s focus to Asian products due to high demand from young people. According to the organizers, the event is expected to become a regular part of the city’s monthly calendar.
