About Kim Kyun Hee
At the age of 4, Kim Kyung Hee, began her life of Korean Traditional Dance under special instruction by her master, the late Han Young Sook, whom holds Important Intangible Cultural Property of "SeungMu" No.27 .
From 1954 to 1974, Kim Kyung Hee was acknowledged as the best pupil and became the first primary assistant trainer. After Kim Kyung Hee migrated to the States, she continued to visit her master on a yearly basis while maintaining her position and their valuable relationship where the master cherished her like she was her own daughter.

Kim Kyung Hee graduated from middle and high school at The National Traditional School of Arts. She served as a trainer, instructor and choreographer at various of schools such as Dankook University, Kongju National University and JeonJu National Gugak(traditional music) Center which gave her an opportunity to build and retain a special relationships with many of her students.

As an active participant in the dance community she won various awards, in 1972 she was awarded The National Award which is very special and honorable in Korean Dance. As part of Koreas National Dance Company known as The Little Angles, she has traveled to more than 30 countries including the Olympics which was held in Mexico and Munich,Germany. These opportunities helped promote national prestige for Korean Dance.

Starting in 1975, she was active as a lead dance choreographer at The Korean Classic Music Institute of America here in the States, and in 2014 she was selected to be a Foreign Honorary Successor of the Traditional Intangible Cultural Asset. At this present time, she holds the title of Chairman from the late Han Young Sook Dance Preservation Society in L.A., N.Y. and San Jose. She continues to maintain her position as pupil to the late Young Sook Han and remains active through guidance of teaching.

Looking forward, Kim Kyung Hee Korean Traditional Dance Preservation Society's goal is to do their best and to reach out to the world to share the excellence of Korean Traditional Dance.
