On June 26, the Korean Cultural Centre Canada was pleased to present the exhibition-related workshop <Hanji: Past and Present> at the National Gallery of Canada.

Led by artist LEE Seung-chul, the workshop introduced participants to the traditional process of making hanji (traditional Korean mulberry paper) while exploring natural dyeing techniques using everyday materials. Through this hands-on experience, participants discovered the sustainability, unique material qualities, and contemporary possibilities of hanji.

We sincerely thank everyone who joined us for this special program and the National Gallery of Canada for partnering with us to share the beauty and versatility of Korean traditional paper.
