The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (KCCB) will welcome South Korean illustrator Suzy Lee for a special program in São Paulo in September, including a reading event and an exhibition of her illustrations. The reading event will take place on Sept. 11 at the KCCB, with literature agent and translator Luis Girão leading the reading and moderating a Q&A with the artist.

The exhibition, featuring works selected by Suzy Lee, will be on display at the KCCB library from Sept. 11 to 30. The artist will also lead an art workshop for children at the Oswald de Andrade Cultural Complex on Sept. 12 and participate in programs at the São Paulo International Book Biennial and Itaú Cultural. Suzy Lee, who received the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2022, is known for works including Wave, Shadow and Mirror, in which the structure of the picture book itself becomes part of the visual narrative.
