The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia hosted a Chuseok experience programme for its Online Supporters on Thursday, September 8, offering participants an opportunity to learn about and experience one of Korea’s major traditional holidays.
The programme began with a luncheon featuring Korean dishes and songpyeon, traditional Korean rice cakes enjoyed during Chuseok. Participants then learned about the meaning and traditions of Chuseok through a presentation.
They also took part in various activities, including a quiz and traditional Korean games such as Tuho (arrow throwing) and Ddakji-chigi (paper tile flipping).
Through the programme, participants had an opportunity to experience the spirit of Chuseok, a traditional Korean holiday when families and loved ones gather together and share warm moments.
Ambassador Yeo Seung-bae expressed his appreciation for the Online Supporters’ efforts in promoting communication and understanding between Korea and Malaysia and encouraged them to continue taking an active interest in Korea and sharing their experiences with the Malaysian public.
