The Korean Cultural Centre in Malaysia hosted RHYTHMS IN MOTION in Kuala Lumpur on 6 and 7 October.
The event featured Korea’s Ambiguous Dance Company alongside Malaysia’s Artistina Istana Budaya and the ASWARA Alumni Association.
Ambiguous Dance Company performed its signature piece FEVER, which reinterprets traditional Korean rhythms through contemporary movement and intense techno beats. The Malaysian groups presented traditional Malay dances, including Zapin, as well as performances incorporating diverse cultural elements.
This event brought Korean contemporary dance and Malaysian traditional and multicultural dance together on one stage, highlighting the distinct artistic characteristics of both countries.
