The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (KCCLA) and the Los Angeles Korean-American Musicians’ Association (LAKMA) present a special performance, “Spirit of Korea: Night of Korean Art Songs”, on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 7:30pm on the 3rd floor of Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles in the Ari Hall.

This concert will feature LAKMA Soloists, Soprano Clara Kim Shin, Esther Hee woo Kim, Yoojin Yang, Mijin Kim, Mezzo Soprano Jiyoung Cho, Tenor Wiyoung Oh, and Bass Douglas Owen McDonald.

The program includes the ‘The Endless Love’ (by Kwangsun Hwang), ‘Longing to Go Back Home’ (by DongJin Kim), ‘Ari Arirang’ (by JeongJoon Ahn), ‘The Antique Dress’ (by E Sang Yoon), ‘The Wave Loaded with Longings’ (by KeungSoo Lim), ‘The River of My Mind’ (by Sooin Lee), Ensemble ‘The Barley Field’ (by YongHah Yoon), ‘As the Wind Crossing by the Lotus’ (by Joowon Kim), etc.

Through this concert, we hope to convey the identity of Korean-Americans and show other ethnic communities of Korea’s great music culture.
