The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles(KCCLA) (Director Nakjung Kim) & PHILOPRINT Printmakers’ Association (President Young-Ki Lee) proudly co-presents a special exhibition, “2016, Korean Contemporary Prints in LA”. This exhibition will be held on Thursday, November 10th through November 17th at the KCCLA Art gallery.
This event will feature the works of 31 passionate printmakers who strive for honest expression of art the arts both in their work and lives.
PHILOPRINT is a coinage of -phile that means love and fond and prints in printmaking field. PHILOPRINT printmakers' association is that a gathering of the people who love and are fond of prints makes strenuous efforts to incessantly create artworks, to enlarge the number of people at the bottom of print scale and to contribute to developments in printmaking field.
And also artists' periodical talent donation event become a small light leading to a small sale margin which is given to help needy neighbors.
This exhibition of leading works from South Korea’s printmaking arena will be a valuable opportunity not only to showcase artistic excellence, but also to examine diverse printmaking techniques and expression and thus bring fresh perspective into the art scene of Los Angeles.
The exhibition is open to the public and the opening reception will be held on Thursday, November 10th, 2016 at 7:00p.m. at the KCCLA 2nd floor, Art Gallery. You will have to opportunity to view fascinating works and also have the chance to meet with the artists at the opening reception.
