The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles(KCCLA) (Director Nakjung Kim) & Photographers Society of Souther California (President Alex Kim) proudly co-present a special exhibition, “The 11th Photographers Society of Southern California; Serenity”. This exhibition will be held from Friday, December 9th to 23rd at the KCCLA Art gallery.
We can’t imagine the modern society without photography. Photography used to be a mere method of leaving traces of history, but throughout the years, photography has become a significant part of our daily lives as technology and media has advanced tremendously. Not only do we capture the beauty of noteworthy milestones, but we also try to capture the precious everyday moments with photos.
This exhibition will display the classic beauty of black and white film and photos with tone-down colors to show the depth of nature and various objects. Nakjung Kim, Director of Korean Cultural Center, mentioned that “I believe that this exhibition will serve as a fresh breath of air for all people who are so consumed with their busy daily lives.” And, Alex Kim who is the president of Photographers Society of Southern California said “Artists want to express beauty of deep inside of nature and visual things in surrounding us. We put our spirit and soul each of work.”
The exhibition is open to the public and the opening reception will be held on Friday, December 9th, 2016 at 7:00p.m. at the KCCLA 2nd floor, Art Gallery. You will have the opportunity to view wonderful works and also have the chance to meet with the artists at the opening reception.
