The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and Korea Saekdong Museum are host to "Beautiful Korea's traditional pouch and wrapping cloth" exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles.
Since Korean Hanbok(traditional garment) has no pockets, there has developed a rich and diverse tradition of pouches and wrapping cloth. As can been seen with pouches made during Joseon dynasty(1392-2910), Koreans have for long made a wide range of pouches for many different purposes. This exhibition will feature 130 Korean traditional pouches and wrapping clothes including over 120 works which made during 19-20 centuries. This is a rare opportunity to get a glimpse of Korea’s deep and beautiful culture.
