The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and
the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency will present a special exhibition to
commemorate the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic & Paralyimpic Winter Games; Now, It's
PyeongChang". The exhibition will be held from January 10 to March 18 at
the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles 2nd floor and will begin 30 days prior
to the start of 2018 PyeongChang Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games.
The director of KCCLA Nakjung Kim mentioned
that " The Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is a tremendous national event
and it is an amazing opportunity to raise the image of the Republic of
Korea and show our economy and culture to the world. We hope that
everyone, not just Korean-Americans, participate
and enjoy together the great Games from the beginning to
finish as an honorary ambassador of the Games.
Through this exhibition, the Korea Cultural Center will show the vision and history of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games with slogans, emblems, and mascots. The Manhwa Contents Agency will present 40 manhwa cuts and 8 webtoons.
The exhibition is open to the public and
the opening reception will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 7:00p.m.
at the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles 2nd floor Art
Gallery. During the opening ceremony, Artist Jung Gi Kim will draw the
manhwa.
