2018 Korean Government Scholarship Program for Graduate Degrees
The Korean Government Scholarship Program is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students with the aim of promoting international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship amongst the participating countries. 1. Period of Scholarship
o Master’s Degree (2018.09.01 ~ 2021.08.31) : 1 yr. of Korean language + 2 yrs of Master’s (total of 3 years)
o Doctoral Degree (2018.09.01 ~ 2022.08.31) : 1 yr. of Korean language + 3 yrs of Doctoral (total of 4 years)
o Research Program (2018.09.01 ~ 2019.09.28) : 6 months

o Nation Quotas : 1
o Overseas Korean adoptees/Overseas Koreans : 1
3. Application Requirements
o For all the application requirements, please see the ‘Application Guidelines’ file in the attached file.
o The GPA conversion information is the most important, please see the ‘Application Guidelines(page 7: Grades, Page 30: ‘Appendix A. GPA Conversion Table’) file in the attached file.
4. Submission
o Deadline of Submission : 2018.3.9 (Friday), PM 5:00

※ It must be written as <2018 KGSP-Graduate Application> on the envelope .
5. Notice
o Application documents must be presented in their original forms.
o If the applicant fails to send in ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS for the application, the applicant will automatically not pass the first round of selection.
o If the transcript does not include information on the average grade, or if it is difficult to convert the grade into a percentage of the GPA, then a formal description of the grades of the university you are attending is required, or a percentage or grade conversion is available. For grade conversion, please refer to GPA conversion site http://www.wes.org, http://www.foreigncredits.com and more.
o Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicants.

o Interview for 2nd Selection : 2018.3.19-20 at Korean Embassy
