Mr. Lee Jin-Su, Director, Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) welcomed 40 selected FCT School teachers under the auspices of Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB) to the 2019 Art Teachers Training Workshop which precedes the annual Korea Image Drawing Competition. The theme for this edition is ‘Independence’ which is to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the March 1st Movement and the establishment of the Korean Provisional Government. The workshop took place on April 9, 2019 at the KCCN Exhibition Hall.
It was aimed at arming teachers with the required knowledge to prepare their pupils for the upcoming Korea Image Drawing Competition. The Drawing competition has helped to further strengthen diplomatic relations between South Korea and Nigeria as well as unearth artistic talents.
The resource person, Nelson Ifeanyi taught the teachers the rudiments of drawing and art. The workshop was very educational and impactful. The teachers also toured the KCCN Exhibition Hall and participated in a Korean art class where they painted beautiful hand fans.
