The Unforgiven (용서 받지 못한 자, 2005)
Director: Yoon Jong Bin
Cast: Ha Jung Woo, Seo Jang Won, Yoon Jong Bin
Lifting the background of the life of young officers who are undergoing military service, The Unforgiven tells the story of Lee Seung Young (Seo Jang Won) who was unintentionally united with his schoolmates, Sergeant Yoo Tae Jung (Ha Jung Woo) in the army barracks. Seung Young himself disagrees with a violent lifestyle that makes it difficult for him to adjust to the environment, but Tae Jung helped him adapt to military life. Tae Jung was finally released, leaving Seung Young in the army barracks. Over time, changes began to occur in Seung Young.
This film was based on the experience of director and actor Yoon Jong Bin while undergoing military service. Through The Unforgiven we will see how institutionalized violence becomes a natural thing, but at the same time leaving physical and psychological trauma to someone. Also follow the discussion about The Unforgiven with Khemal Andrias (Alliance of New Men) after the screening!
This event is free and open to the public, and without registration.
