Madama Butterfly Grand Gala Concert


On May 29th at the Multifunctional Hall of the Korean Cultural Institute the Grand Gala Concert of the "Madama Butterfly by Puccini performed by the Association of Korean Musicians in Italy of Milan was staged for about 80 minutes.

The Sop. Park Seon Young (Butterfly), M.Sop. Kim Moon Jin (Suzuki), Lt. Giovanni Maria Palmia (Pinkerton), Bar. Lee Dae Bum (Sharpless), Bass. Kil Hong Shin (Bonzo) and pianist Kim Na Ri, all part of the Korean Musicians Association in Milan, performed the Puccini opera almost entirely, moving the audience with their voice and their expressiveness.

At the concert they were present together with the New Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, S.E. Kwon Hee-seog about 120 other spectators. Among these one has defined the concert of "very high level and the skill of the performers has made it possible to immerse and empathize with the plot of the opera. Among the Koreans there are many excellent singers".

The concert was also an excellent opportunity to introduce the Korean artists in activity in Italy to the Italian public.
