Out of 60 participants drawn from selected secondary schools in Abuja under the auspices of the Secondary Education Board (SEB), Government Secondary School (GSS) Nyanya, Abuja came tops at the just concluded Korea Quiz competition 2019. The competition took place in Abuja at Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria on May 26, 2019. It was organised by the Korean Cultural Centre of Nigeria (KCCN) in conjunction with the Secondary Education Board (SEB), to showcase Korea’s rich cultural heritage and to foster a bilateral relations between Nigeria and Korea.
The participating schools included: GSS Abaji, GSS Dutse, GSS DeiDei, GSS Pegi, GSS Gwagwalada, GSS Garki, and GSS Dukpa. Earlier in his remark, Director of KCCN, Mr Lee Jin-Su, said, “Korean cultural quiz competition is aimed at teaching Nigerians about the beautiful culture of Korea, thereby increasing their broad knowledge on other cultures apart from the Nigerian culture.
After 11 rounds of the quiz competition, Miss Sandra Omomoh, from GSS Nyanya emerged winner. She secured scholarship and HP Laptop.
GSS Gwagwalada, representative Miss Amodu came second and was gifted with a 32 inch LED TV while Miss Idoko Theresa of GSS Abaji, came third and went home with a Boom player.
