Opening Ceremony


The Korean Cultural Centre in Italy will hold a joint exhibition of 'Korea's Sea and Island' with the company 'La Mer et L'Ile' on Wednesday, November 27 at 6:30 pm. Eight artists participated in this exhibition to introduce the beauty of Korea's sea and Islands to Italy. More than 60 visitors attended the ceremony, and the opening ceremony was held with the greeting of Ambassador Hee-seog Kwon, Italian former Ambassador in Korea wife, Maria Giovanna Fadiga Mercuri, and "La Mer et L'Ile" chairman Ham Joon Lee.

In the exhibition, 17 works from eight artists including Kim Sun-doo, Suh Yongsun, Oh Byung-wook, Lee Joo-yeon, Lee Chong-song, Jung Il-young, Jang Hyun-joo and Ha Tae-im were exhibited. Visitors who attended this day showed great interest in the exhibition by asking artists and exhibition curators various questions about the expression of 'color'.

At the opening ceremony, a total of four of the eight artists attended the exhibition, explaining the artist's own art world to the audience's questions, and holding an exhibition where the audience and the artist breathed directly. Silvana Cortesse, who attended the day, asked artist Ha Tae-im about the meaning of the colors expressed in the work and how to communicate with the audience through colors.
