As part of the Global Taekwondo Training    Program  (GTTP) from 2008 to 2009, 86 students from 4-year Universities in Korea have come to the United States for a month to complete their internship. The internship took place in cities in California such as San Francisco, Sacramento, Oxnard, and Los Angeles and they are also located in Seattle, Washington and Colorado.

The basic purpose of this internship program is for the leading Taekwondo masters of the future generation to participate in the Global Taekwondo Training Program and acquire skills to teach in classes around the world. This program also includes a purpose to increase more Korean masters to teach in the United States.

After 2008, two people have been employed in San Francisco, California and Oregon and both have become Taekwondo studio masters in the United States. Beginning from 2010, twenty of the top- selected graduate students and senior students will begin a 3- month internship in the studios. After their internship is completed, they will increase the Taekwondo community in United States by making it possible for more students to get employment in America.
