Overseas

The 6th episode of K-Food Webtoon Series continues with Chef Han. Today we would like to introduce Kong-guksu, a highly nutritious dish that also happens to be vegetarian-friendly. This seasonal dish refrains from excess tastes and rather, focuses on the subtle flavor of the bean. With simplicity and well-being in mind, you will acquire a taste for this cold, creamy, textured noodle dish that no other dish will be able to satisfy in the summer!

The KCC launched the K-Food Webtoon series last April to introduce Korean food and recipes to provide an opportunity to learn to cook and try Korean food from home. We hope you will try these recipes and continue to experience Korean culture at home.

About ‘Kong-guksu’

Kong-guksu is noodles in chilled soybean soup. The cooked bean is finely grinded and strained. A savory cold bean soup is poured onto cooked wheat noodles. This noodle dish is one of the Korean food consumed during summers in Korea, and is seasoned with salt and served with yeolmu kimchi (young summer radish kimchi) as a side dish.
