The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles presented the world premiere of the highly anticipated production, “Rhythm and Passion of Korea” at the Ford Amphitheatre on September 10, 2011. The new sold out show took the 1,200 audiences through an awe-inspiring journey where tradition and modern music and dance merged for one unforgettable night. Highlights of this incredible evening included the musical styling of international “Haegum” sensation, Kang Eun-il and her group of elite musicians direct from South Korea, Haegum Plus. World renowned B-Boy dance crew, Last for One, best known for defying the laws of physics with their award-winning, heart-stopping acrobatic routines, joined the Korean Percussion group, 'Dodo', and performed in the second half of the evening to close out the amazing night of entertainment.
This concert taped and will be edited to a one-hour TV program, with concert footage interspersed with air in October. The program called "Live @ the Ford" is a collaboration between KCET and the Los Angeles county Aommission. The Ford is the part by the L.A. County Arts Commission.
