The 32nd Chuncheon Puppet Festival recruits participants for Chuncheon Puppet Film festival

Period: 09.21.2020 (Mon) ~ 10.25.2020 (Sun) (KST)

Performing arts is in a difficult situation due to COVID-19 in 2020. We tried to hold the festival this year by conducting disinfection, physical distancing and decentralized opening shows outdoors. However, performing artists and the audience couldn’t meet on stage after all, because of the resurgence of the virus in South Korea.

This led us to have 『Puppetry Film Festival』 overcoming “untact situation” with the audience. Chuncheon Puppet Festival pursues a new form of puppetry shows taking advantage of puppetry performances’ visual artistic value. 

Furthermore, this will be an opportunity to have a platform that expands the theatrical arts to the area of visual arts for Korean puppetry industry

■ GUIDE LINE

Submission : A creative video using puppets(objet) within 3 mins.

Period : 21.09.2020 ~ 25.10.2020 (due date) 

Announcement : 05.11.2020 

*The result will be announced individually 

Number of recruitment : 20 works

Target : International puppetry theater (regardless of individual or group)

■ PROCESS 

First evaluation 

20 teams will be selected.              

1.Support fund (500,000₩) will be provided for every 20 teams.

2.Feedback from video specialists before assessment for awards    ceremony                                         

3. Screening & Awards ceremony / 5 teams will be nominated for awards.

Grand prize (1) 3,000,000₩ 

Best award (1) 2,000,000₩ 

Outstanding work (3) 1,000,000₩
