Korean Culture Essay Contest

Organized in celebration of 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Belgium in 2021

Application period

September 3 - December 3, 2020

* Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted.

Announcement winners

December 15, 2020

* The result of the contest will be posted on the website of the KCC and all winners will be notified individually.

Eligibility for Participation

- Participants with the Belgian nationality.

Themes

Choose one of the following themes:

- The Beauty of Korea

- Korea and I

-The Taste of Korea

Submission

- Fill out the application form and submit this together with the essay by e-mail to info@kccbrussels.be

- Language essay: English, Dutch, French, or German

- Essays must be submitted and formatted in Microsoft Word. (Times New Roman, 12 points)

- Essay length: 500 – 700 words

* Essays must be written by one person. Co-authored essays are not accepted.

** Only original and unpublished essays will be considered for assessment.

*** The Korean Cultural Center Brussels will obtain the copyright of the submitted essays. Selected essays will be printed in a booklet that will be published by the Korean Cultural Center in Brussels.

Prizes

- Grand Prize: a round-trip plane ticket from Belgium to Korea (1 person)

- Participation prize: a box filled with Korean culture-related goodies (10 persons)
