New York, NY: On Friday, November 13, the remains of late Mr. Sung Don Na departed from JFK International Airport with his bereaved family members. Consul General Amb. Won-sam Chang led the farewell at the airport.

 

The decision to lay late Mr. Na to rest at Daejeon National Cemetery in Korea was made by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea following his death on June 27, 2020. Late Mr. Na, who resided in the United States, devoted himself to the cause of his native land’s independence during Imperial Japan’s colonial rule of Korea. The ceremony to receive his remains will be held at Incheon International Airport on November 16 and the burial ceremony on November 17.

March 1945, Served as an underground operative in the central region of China.

May 1945, Transferred to Special Training Unit

1990, Awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation, National Medal

June 2020, deceased in the United States
