[KIM Yongchul SEOP-Dance Company]
KIM Yongchul SEOP-Dance Company, established in 1992, bases itself on Korean traditional dance and culture. The delicately polished movements and an open mind to dance of the group’s choreographer are understood as originating from integrated and normative approaches to traditional and contemporary dance. The dance company has been showcasing Korean contemporary dance through numerous global performances, starting from Asia Art Festival Beijing in 1998 to stages in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Taiwan, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, India, Singapore, the Philippines, Germany, New York, and concert tours in the U.S. in 2014.

[Work Description]
This work is entitled Black Salpuri. Our lives are governed by tremendous life force beyond human understanding. The dark side of the force, however, is littered with desires, pleasures and illusions which drive humans to self-destruction. Black Salpuri will dissipate those sinister emotions underneath.
Black Salpuri will proceed like a breeze or a wave above the human foolishness.
