Celebrating Family Month in May, the Seoul Metropolitan Junior Chorus from May 5-6 will perform its 176th regular concert "Gwanghwamun Story (from Hanyang to Seoul)" at Sejong Chamber Hall of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
The chorus presents this performing arts program in which families can learn about Seoul's history and UNESCO Intangible Heritage. The chorus will reenact the history of Gwanghwamun Square and vicinity by performing 11 songs including "Capital Hanyang" and "The Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon) Has Bloomed."
As the nation's top children's choir, the chorus since its inception in 1964 has brought Korean culture alive through song for over 50 years, taking the lead in the development of children's choral music.
Admission is KRW 20,000. The performance lasts 70 minutes with no intermission.
