Huda, Rian and Syahid, 17-year-old boys, are seniors in pesantren (Islamic religious school). Silently undergoing their comings-of-age, one day they face a huge turning point in their lives because of the sudden outbreak of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The film delicately features the life of 17-year-old boys to show how an individual grows up in the cause of family, religion and country in a Muslim state.
