In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Universal Ballet company will present four special gala performances, consisting of the most popular items from its repertoire, at the Seoul Arts Center’s opera theater from February 21 to 23. The Universal Ballet 30th Anniversary Special Gala will feature not only the best performers from the ballet company itself but will also headline Seo Hee, a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre, and Kang Hyo-jung, a principal dancer at Stuttgart Ballet, both of whom used to be members of Universal Ballet.
Each of the four shows will have a first act that includes scenes from La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, The Flames of Paris and Onegin. After intermission, Act II will feature The Love of Chunhyang, Romeo & Juliet, Duende, Fanfare LX and Minus 7.
