Pianist Paik Kun-woo, who turned 70 years old, will perform Rachmaninov's Piano Sonata No. 1 and Scriabin's 24 Preludes. Beginning with the concert at Seoul Arts Center where he played excerpts from Rachmaninov's etudes and Scriabin's Piano Sonata No. 6, Mr. Paik had attached to Russian repertoire. In 1991, he released eight "Scriabin - Piano Music" albums which cover Scriabin's complete solo piano works. A few years later, he received the "Diapason d'or" of the year and "Nouvelle Academie du disque" Award with his complete Prokofiev Piano Concerto recording as well.
