The "Camping Festival," which received a Gold award as it was selected as a "Best Public Relations Event" had been held at the largest scale in Korea for a single event as an automobile camping event, participated by 700 teams totaling approximately 3,000 people at the Yeoju water detention facility of the Han River for two nights and three days.
In particular, this event, going beyond offering a camping site for automobiles, contributed to forming a new waterside culture by utilizing the venue as a place where diverse hands-on experience activities and cultural performances took place while allowing people to enjoy leisure time and rest in the newly transformed waterside areas by holding such mini events as the Culture Concert (broadcast by Y-Star) themed on the nature, Children's Lives Drawing Festival, New Waves Photography Exhibition, Kayak Festival, Canoe Experience, and Camping Cooking Competition.
The "Policy Talk Talk" was arranged for the purpose of strengthening communications with Korea's young people in their 20s and 30s, and was held in a "talk concert" format where the MLTM Minister himself and about 10 PR campus groups totaling 80 college students who are members of Korea's Collegiate PR Association called "KUPRA" freely exchanged questions and answers in a discussion format.
In addition, college students where were in the audience applauded a feature at the talk concert venue where they were able to post their questions to the MLTM Minister in an unrestricted manner by pasting their posts to the "Post-it Notice Board" set up at the talk concert venue before the start of the event.

A related person to the Office for the Four Major Rivers Restoration said, "the fact that the four major rivers were reborn as cultural and waterside areas that have automobile camping sites, cultural pavilions, and bicycle roads, receiving affection and interest from the public made our receiving the awards possible," adding, "Going forward, by offering more entertainment features for things to see and enjoy to the public, the Office for the Four Major Rivers Restoration will redouble its efforts to create new waterside cultures in Korea."
The entire list of honorees from Korea and overseas for the 2012 IBA can be found at the websites of the Korea Commercial Film Maker Union (www.koreacf.or.kr) and Korea Business Communicators Association (www.sabo.or.kr).
